Version 2.0 is not just a new release of Consultation Manager.  It is new from the ground up.  Consultation Manager has been completely rewritten based on your feedback to make it more flexible, powerful and intuitive than ever before.

Improved User Experience
Consultation Manager is even more useable than before - we've worked hard to simplify the interface, minimise the number of clicks it takes to perform common tasks and let you do anything from anywhere in the system.
  • MacIntosh compatiblity is now a reality as we now support the Firefox browser.  Supported browsers for Version 2.0 are Firefox (3.5 and higher) and Internet Explorer (7.0 and higher).  For optimum performance we recommend using Firefox.

  • Training is simplified by letting all team members use the same interface - and by giving detailed feedback on restricted options. 

  • Even better, Quick Training Videos are available right inside the Consultation Manager interface should you ever get stuck.

  • Save your searches for one click access to them in the future. Generate reports rapidly and easily based on these same saved searches. 

  • Improve your workflow by working simultaneously on as many Stakeholders, Events, Actions, Properties and Documents as you like.

The New Project Dashboard
When you first login you will see your own customisable Dashboard that provides an overview of your project and instant access to vital information.   

  • Add Calendars to track your events and actions and get one click access to detailed results.  You can even track other team members events and actions from your Dashboard.

  • Monitor your Project Statistics and with a single click conduct powerful searches for Stakeholders, Events, Actions and more.

  • View Quick Training Videos at any time  directly within Consultation Manager.  If you are unsure about a feature you can view a bite sized video on it anytime you wish.

  • System Messages will keep you abreast of new features, upcoming training courses and other important information from your team at Consultation Manager.
Advanced Searching has Never Been so Simple 
The powerful new search engine in Version 2.0 allows you to navigate thorugh your data effortlessly.
  • Use one convenient interface to search for Stakeholders, Events, Actions, Properties, Documents and Team Members.

  • Fine tune your search results by adding more and more search criteria.

  • Easily conduct complex searches:

    • find Stakeholders who attended meetings in the month of December where the issue of noise was raised

    • find Properties owned by Stakeholders who belong to the local Chamber of Commerce and who have also made an EIS submission

    • find Events attended by certain Team Members that have outstanding Actions attached

    • the possibilities are limited only by your imagination

  • Keep your searches open while you work on multiple items in the workspace. Flick back and forth between different searches without losing your results.

  • Save your search results for later use and even use them as the basis for your consultation reports.

A Flexible and Powerful Workspace
The new Workspace in Version 2.0 allows you to work on multiple items simultaneously, dramatically improving your workflow.
  • Work how you want to by opening as many Stakeholders, Actions, Events, Properties and Documents as you like simultaneously within the Consultation Manager workspace.

  • Make your data more meaningful by flexibly assigning any entity to any other. For example, you can assign Stakeholders to Documents, Properties to Actions or Team Members to Stakeholders or any other combination you can think of.

  • Assign as many items as you like to all of your entities.  For example you can assign multiple Stakeholders to an Action, multiple Properties to a Document, multiple Documents to a Team Member or Stakeholder or any other combination you can think of.

  • Clone Stakeholders, Properties, Events or Actions with one click.  You can create exact copies of any of these entities to speed up data entry.  For example, you can clone a recurring Event such as a regular meeting with a select group of Stakeholders. Or you can speed the creation of Stakeholders that may come from the same organisation or family.
Powerful New Mapping Features
Consultation Manager's mapping features have been significantly expanded to help you visualise your interactions with Stakeholders and Properties.
  • Choose your map format from street view, satellite view, hybrid or topographical.

  • Display multiple properties using the same powerful search engine to drill down by any criteria you choose.

    • Display all Properties affected by issues such as dust or noise and display the issues in different colours.

    • Display all Properties owned by Stakeholders belonging to a particular organisation or Stakeholder Group.

    • Display all Properties scheduled to be resumed or valued.

  • Overlay Administrative Boundaries such as federal, state and local electoral boundaries, suburbs and postcodes.

  • Overlay ABS Statistical Data such as median household income, land use and population density.

  • Import your own map layers to display project boundaries, infrastructure plans or anything else your GIS team can come up with.

  • Coming soon: query the Consultation Manager database directly for live integration with your own GIS system.
Flexible Document Management
Documents now behave like any other entity (such as Stakeholders or Properties) within Consultation Manager. 
  • Open Documents in the Workspace and instantly see which Events or Actions they are linked to.  And easily add multiple Events or Actions to a Document, saving you even more time. 
  • Link Documents to any entity you like: Stakeholders, Properties, Events, Actions or Team Members. For those using the Enterprise Version, you can even link Documents to the Projects themselves.

  • Manage your Documents easily with the new 'tree' filing view enabling you to quickly  see how each Document fits into your filing system.

  • Link to external Documents in your Document Management System to minimise redundancy.
Detailed Auditing
  • Instantly view the history of any Stakeholder, Event, Action, Property, Document or Team Member using the new 'History' function.

  • Monitor access to Consultation Manager by reviewing detailed access logs to see which Team Members are accessing your project and when.

  • Improved housekeeping features let you test for possible duplicates as you type, merge duplicate entries with one click and easily delete and restore data as needed.
Enterprise Version Enhancements
Consultation Manager Enterprise empowers you to build a stakeholder relationship knowledgebase across your organisation.  Manage multiple projects simultaneously, report across projects and customise the platform to suit your needs. Specific enhancements for Version 2.0 include:
  • Add new projects yourself as easily as you would a Stakeholder or Event.  Edit project details and archive projects whenever you wish.

  • Open any combination of projects at once and report across them.

  • Assign projects to multiple groups to view cross-project information any way you want.

  • Manage Team Members centrally from a single interface to manage the access levels a Team Member has across all of your projects.

  • Allocate Events, Actions and Documents to multiple projects. You can now have complete flexibility as to how you assign entities to projects.

  • Make Stakeholders and Properties private to one or more projects so that they don't appear in others.

  • Create infinite grouping levels for Stakeholder Groups, Issues, Property Groups, Distribution Lists and Document Types to organise your data the way you want.  For example, a document could be stored in Maps->Australia->WA->Site Selection.

  • Filter your data to only view Stakeholders and other data relevant to your project.
